We design and built an soil water table fluctuation monitoring IoT system for precision agriculture purpose. In our invention, we design a LoRaWAN system that enables long-range, low-power data transmission. This invention designed to monitor water table fluctuation using pressured based soil water level sensor for automated data collection. The designed sensor is a low-cost, robust device that can be easily installed in monitoring wells or boreholes. It consists of a pressure transducer, a LoRa wireless module, that converts the pressure readings into soil water level measurements. The sensor is capable of measuring soil water levels with high accuracy and resolution.
